Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for racking systems.

• Work with design teams to understand BOM and specs.

Job description

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for racking systems and related components.
• Float RFQs, perform technical/commercial comparisons, and negotiate pricing and delivery terms.
• Ensure procurement aligns with project schedules and installation timelines.
• Develop alternate supplier base for cost, quality, and risk mitigation.

B. Supply Chain & Logistics Coordination

• Plan material requirements based on project demand and forecasts.
• Track production, dispatch, transportation, and ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate inbound logistics, customs compliance, freight, and storage.

C. Inventory & Material Management

• Monitor stock levels of racking components and hardware.
• Optimize inventory cost while ensuring availability.
• Coordinate with warehouse teams for accurate stock posting.

D. Vendor & Quality Management

• Conduct supplier audits for quality and compliance.
• Ensure materials meet engineering specifications and standards.
• Resolve delivery discrepancies and quality issues.

E. CrossFunctional Collaboration

• Work with design teams to understand BOM and specs.
• Support project managers with procurement planning.
• Coordinate with finance for budgeting and invoice settlement.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of racking systems and structural components.
• Understanding of engineering drawings, BOM, and specs.
• Proficiency in ERP systems.
