Job Description

• 1.Design, development and Maintenance- Ensuring Design, development and Maintenance of Press Tools, Injection Moulds, Grinding Fixtures.- Responsible for repair and maintenance activity of press Tools, Moulds and grinding fixtures.-. To coordinate with the outside agencies or vendors for repair and maintenance work- Design, Draught, and release of drawings for Gauges, Fixtures, Cutting tools, material handling system and assembly layout- Prepare control plan at different stages of product development and execute.
• 2.New Product Development- Understanding production requirement and ensuring availability of press tools, Moulds and grinding fixtures.-Responsible for planning engineering projects and overseeing the efficient running of projects, including providing supervision and guidance to team.- Collaborate with the marketing team for new products developments.- Conduct trials, Pilot production in CFT and commercialize the new product.- Prepare cost estimation sheet and suggest cost reduction measures to achieve target cost.
• 3.Continual Product & Process Improvements- Drive continuous improvement activities in quality, cycle times, process improvement, machine availability through lean techniques and value engineering to enhance the capability of existing processes and remove waste - To develop and stabilize new processes/LCA for new and existing products.
• 4. Quality & Safety Management-Drive quality excellence by monitoring PPM trends, leading root cause analysis and CAPA effectiveness, and ensuring sustained reduction in defects, customer complaints, and repeat quality issues.-Drive a proactive safety culture by ensuring safe design practices, compliance with EHS requirements, timely closure of safety observations, and implementation of risk mitigation actions across all engineering activities
• 5. Organisation Imperatives- Preparation of skill matrix, rolling plan for training and skill development.- Maintaining the shop floor discipline & safe work environment- Driving change-management initiatives like GRACE, BE, and BBS- Facilitating IMS documentation in Engineering.

Essential Qualification :

Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Preferred Qualification :

Degree in Mechanical Engineering with Post Graduate Qualification in Management

Experience Details

Essential Experience :

2 years of work experience for Degree in Engineering

Preferred Experience :

Working experience in scissors and knives manufacturing industry

Special Skills

Essential : 1.Hands on experience on Auto-Cad, Creo4.0, Microsoft office.2.Working knowledge of Infor and PLM(Product Life cycle Management) 3.Good understand of Grinding Processes4.Knowledge of manufacturing processes and hands-on experience.5.Good understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.6.Project management.
