Job summary

Kohler in Gujarat, India invites a Senior Engineer to join the Operations group in the K&B India division. The role focuses on tooling development, die and fixture design, and coordinating with Production to ensure smooth manufacturing processes.

The ideal candidate will have mechanical engineering qualifications and 8–12 years of relevant experience with Creo, Cimatron, AutoCAD, and MS Office. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• B.Tech /B.E /Diploma in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 8–12 years minimum experience in tooling and manufacturing.
• Proficiency in Creo, Cimatron and AutoCAD essential.
• MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate routing and tooling requirements with Production team.
• Monitor Die & Tool Life and maintain tooling readiness.
• Develop new plating fixtures for organic line.
• Participate in design reviews with Production, Mfg Eng and Quality.
• Drive shop floor improvement initiatives (Kaizen, TPM).
• Ensure tools are used correctly and production runs smoothly.

Job Description:

• Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and tooling development
• Hand on Experience of Faucet Die & machining Fixture design & Correction.
• Develop new plating fixture for organic line.
• Coordinates routing and tooling requirements with Production team
• Daily wise monitoring Die & Tool Life and Proper maintenance of tooling
• Ready to tooling as per Production Plan
• Background in tooling machining techniques and manufacturing practices
• Coordinates formal or functional design reviews with Production, Manufacturing engineering and Quality departments to resolve Tooling problems & Minimize the rejection.
• Monitoring production processes & ensure that the tools are being used correctly and that production is running smoothly.
• Improve the Productivity , Customer focus & implementation of Best industry practice.
• Driving improvement initiatives at the shop floor (like Kaizens, Total Productive Maintenance, COE Projects).
• Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and tooling development
• Hand on experience of Die Correction Loading & unloading (SMED)
• Ready to tooling as per Production Plan
• Participating in production related tasks including planning, control and trouble shooting.
• Production loss analysis and Casting Quality yield improvement.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
• Monitoring production processes & ensure that the tools are being used correctly and that production is running smoothly.
• Knowledge of ISO, HIRA, Aspect& Impact, LOTO system, Quality Tools

Qualification & Knowledge-

• B.Tech /B.E /Diploma - Mechanical Engineering
• Experience- 8-12 Year Minimum
• Creo (Sketcher, Drafting, Part Modeling, Surface Modeling, Assembly),Cimatron & Auto Cad.
• MS OFFICE(Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
