Senior Engineer – Test Engineering (NPI andProduction)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Test Engineer withstrong expertise in PCBA testing, debugging, and manufacturing testengineering. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience inproduction environments, NPI support, test development, failure analysis, andquality methodologies within an EMS setup. The role involves working closelywith customers, suppliers, manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams toensure product reliability, process efficiency, and production excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- PerformPCBA troubleshooting, debugging, and root cause analysis.
- Definetest strategies, test specifications, validation plans, and test reports.
- SupportNew Product Introduction (NPI) activities and product qualification.
- Developand execute manufacturing test procedures and validation activities.
- Conductmanual, bench-level, cold, and functional testing of electronicassemblies.
Production Support
- Supportproduction testing activities to achieve daily output and quality targets.
- Monitoryield trends, identify failure patterns, and implement corrective actions.
- Performline balancing and optimize test processes to improve productivity.
- Ensuremaximum tester uptime through preventive maintenance and calibrationactivities.
- Drivecontinuous improvement initiatives for test efficiency and cost reduction.
Test Development & Equipment Management
- Develop,validate, and support ICT (In-Circuit Test) and FCT (Functional Test)solutions.
- Managetester installation, commissioning, validation, calibration, andpreventive maintenance.
- Coordinatefixture development, qualification, and troubleshooting activities.
- Reviewproduct designs and provide Design for Testability (DFT) recommendations.
- Ensureeffective management of 4M (Man, Machine, Material, and Method)requirements.
- Collaboratewith customers during technical discussions, issue resolution, and projectexecution.
- Workwith suppliers and cross-functional teams to resolve test-relatedchallenges.
- Supportengineering changes, process implementation, and validation activities.
Documentation & Process Control
- Prepareand maintain test specifications, SOPs, work instructions, checklists, andvalidation documents.
- Developand maintain Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Device History Records (DHR),and related manufacturing documentation.
- Supportproject planning through effort estimation, timelines, SRS, and WBSpreparation.
- Ensurecompliance with internal quality standards and customer requirements.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Applyquality tools such as:
- PFMEA
- ControlPlan
- GRR& MSA
- Cp/CpkAnalysis
- IQ/OQ/PQValidation
- Drivecorrective and preventive actions based on data-driven analysis.
- Leadroot cause investigations and implement sustainable solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor'sDegree in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related discipline.
- 5-6years of experience in EMS/PCBA manufacturing environments.
- Strongknowledge of PCBA debugging and electronics testing methodologies.
- Hands-onexperience with ICT, FCT, and production test systems.
- Experiencein failure analysis, yield improvement, and process optimization.
- Goodunderstanding of DFT principles and manufacturing quality tools.
- Stronganalytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellentcommunication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Abilityto work effectively with cross-functional teams, customers, and suppliers.
Preferred Skills
- Experiencein high-volume electronics manufacturing.
- Knowledgeof Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Exposureto Medical Devices, Automotive, Industrial Electronics, or ConsumerElectronics products.
