Job summary

Cyient DLM in Mysuru is seeking a seasoned Quality Manager to lead the EMS quality function with a focus on PCBA, box build, and cable assembly operations. You will manage the QMS, drive process and product quality improvements, and lead customer and regulatory compliance initiatives to foster a culture of quality.

The role requires 12–15 years in EMS quality leadership, familiarity with IPC standards, and experience with ISO 9001/ISO 13485/IATF 16949 or AS9100.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Mechanical, Quality or related technical field.
• 12-15 years' experience in quality leadership roles in EMS/contract manufacturing.
• Hands-on knowledge of PCBA, cable harnessing, and box build quality control.
• Familiarity with IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, J-STD-001.
• ISO 9001, ISO 13485, IATF 16949 or AS9100 experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Establish, implement, and maintain a robust QMS aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 13485 or other standards.
• Lead internal, customer, and third-party audits and ensure audit readiness.
• Oversee QC across SMT, PCBA, box build, and cable assembly processes.
• Perform RCA for quality issues and drive 8D/CAPA activities.
• Use tools like FMEA, SPC, MSA, control plans and process audits.
• Interface with customers on quality concerns and drive improvements.
• Manage RMA/NCR and supplier audits with corrective actions.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a results-driven andexperienced Quality Manager to lead the quality function in an EMSenvironment, with a specific focus on PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly), box build, and cable assembly operations. The ideal candidatewill manage the Quality Management System (QMS), drive process and productquality improvements, lead customer and regulatory compliance efforts, andfoster a culture of quality throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Management System (QMS)

• Establish, implement, andmaintain a robust QMS aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, orother relevant standards.
  
• Ensure compliance with IPCstandards (IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, etc.).
  
• Prepare and lead internal,customer, and third-party audits.
  
• Maintain accurate qualitydocumentation and ensure audit readiness.
  

Process Quality – PCBA, Box Build, CableAssembly

• Oversee in-process and finalquality checks across SMT, PTH, reflow, testing (ICT, FCT), box buildassembly, and cable harnessing.
  
• Implement and monitorquality control plans at each production stage.
  
• Conduct root cause analysis(RCA) for internal and customer quality issues and lead 8D/CAPAactivities.
  
• Ensure proper usage of toolslike FMEA, SPC, MSA, control plans, and process audits.
  
• Act as the primary interfacefor customer quality concerns, audits, and quality improvementinitiatives.
  
• Manage RMA, NCR, andcustomer complaint resolution processes with structuredproblem-solving (8D, 5 Why, etc.).
  
• Evaluate and monitorsupplier quality; conduct supplier audits and drive corrective actions.
  

Quality Reporting & Metrics

• Track and report on keyquality performance indicators:
  
• First Pass Yield (FPY)
  
• DPMO / PPM
  
• RMA rate
  
• Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ)
  
• Present quality data andanalysis to management and customers as needed.
  
• Lead and mentor a team ofquality engineers, technicians, and inspectors.
  
• Provide training on qualitytools, IPC standards, workmanship criteria, and customer-specificrequirements.
  

Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree inElectronics, Mechanical Engineering, Quality, or a related technicalfield.
