Job summary

Jobitus in Chennai seeks a Sr. Engineer - SQA with 5–8 years of automotive supplier quality experience. The role focuses on wiper motor/assembly QA, supplier performance, PPAP/APQP processes, and corrective actions. Frequent travel to supplier plants is required.

Candidate should have DME or BE in Mechanical engineering and be proficient in 8D, 7QC tools, AIAG core tools, and quality systems. The position offers a 9 LPA CTC in India.

Qualifications

• Degree in DME or BE Mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in supplier quality assurance or QA in automotive

Responsibilities

• Technical knowledge of Wiper Motor, Wiper Assembly and manufacturing know how.
• Monitor supplier performance (PPM, Delivery, Process audit score, complaints closure effectiveness).
• Handle supplier quality delivery complaints and ensure effective closure of issues with proper root cause corrective actions.
• Verify and validate permanent corrective actions at supplier end during regular process audits.
• Ensure continual improvements at supplier end like Poka-yoke implementation, Kaizens etc.
• Drive supplier development and improvement plans as per need of the organization
• Conduct supplier process audits as per CVG USA team guidelines and report on monthly basis as per plan.
• Review and Conduct PPAP audit at supplier end, review PPAP documents & audit at supplier end for new development parts.
• Complete Agreement of Inspection for new parts, revisit and correct regular parts.
• Knowledge about inspection of parts and know how about measuring and testing instruments / equipments.
• Conduct New supplier assessment before onboarding
• Knowledge of Automotive core tools APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC
• Knowledge of 8D, 7QC tools, GD&T, Drawing Understanding etc.
• Share MIS reports to all relevant stakeholders at monthly basis.
• Good in verbal and written English communication.
• Travel frequently and need basis as per CVG requirements to supplier manufacturing locations.
