Job summary

Selective Global Search is seeking a Sr. Engineer - Supplier Development at Mahindra World City, Chengalpattu. You will review supplier audits, drive corrective actions, and ensure alignment with customer deadlines.

The role requires 5–9 years in supplier development, along with hands-on auditing, PPAP/APQP processes, and on-site technical support to suppliers to secure flawless launches and timely supply.

Qualifications

• 05–09 years of relevant experience in supplier development and manufacturing support.
• Experience conducting audits (PTR, process, product) at supplier sites.
• Ability to drive PPAP, APQP, and master project timelines with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Close supplier audit and supplier complaints corrective actions in QPF.
• Track new project timelines to ensure suppliers meet customer deadlines.
• Conduct PTR, Process, Product, and System audits at supplier sites and close actions.
• Provide on-site technical support and assist capacity verification at suppliers.
• Address repeat issues and warranty concerns with on-site countermeasure audits.
• Oversee outsourcing, resourcing, cost-saving, and VAVE feasibility; ensure PPAP closures.
• Manage 4M change management progress and close PPAP by deadlines.
• Assess part feasibility and propose tolerance/process revisions early.
• Capture lessons learned from tooling development for flawless launches.

Position : Sr. Engineer - Supplier Development

Location : Mahindra World city, Chengalpattu

Experience: 05 to 09 yrs

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review and close the Supplier Audit corrective actions and Supplier complaints corrective actions into QPF.
• Review and ensure all assigned new project timelines and key dates to ensure suppliers meet customer deadlines.
• Review and conduct PTR audit, Process Audit, Product audit & System audit at supplier end and drive action closure.
• Review and provide on-site technical support at selected suppliers/Support ongoing capacity verification/improvement actions for smooth production and supplies.
• Review and conduct repeat issues and customer/warranty concerns on site countermeasure audit and drive action closure.
• Review and ensure outsourcing, resourcing, cost saving and VAVE projects feasibility sign off, gauge concepts and approval to until PPAP closures adherence by ensuring supplier APQP process and Master Project timeline.
• Review and ensure complete 4M change management progress for the down the line team and facilitate to close the PPAP as per deadline.
• Review and ensure feasibility of the parts -propose tolerance revision or process revision at initiate stage itself instead of proposing later stage.
• Review and ensure all the lessons learned captured during production tooling development to ensure flawless launch and Zero TIR.
