Job summary

Innio in Coimbatore, India, is seeking a committed Supplier Quality Engineer to strengthen our supplier base and ensure product quality across global procurement and manufacturing.

The role requires a Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering, at least 5 years' supplier quality experience, strong communication and project management, knowledge of PPAP, APQP, 8D, Ishikawa and 5 Why, plus willingness to travel up to 50% within India.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or comparable field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer, including supplier development.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills with cross-functional teams.
  • Good knowledge of quality tools and methodologies such as PPAP, APQP, 8D, Ishikawa, and 5 Why.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to work independently and drive effective problem resolution.
  • Very good proficiency in MS Office.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% within India.
  • Casting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary interface between suppliers in India and globally, and internal functions to resolve technical issues and eliminate communication barriers.
  • Conduct supplier audits and ensure compliance with quality procedures, standards, and technical regulations.
  • Lead qualification projects for new parts and new suppliers, with focus on failure prevention.
  • Participate in design and Tollgate reviews.
  • Drive initiatives to reduce product defects and cost of quality.
  • Lead root cause analyses and manage supplier deviation requests and non-conformities.
  • Support the search for new suppliers and lead supplier development activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to supplier assessments.

Your Profile
