Eaton Group is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer in Tamil Nadu to lead supplier development, perform PPAP/APQP activities, and ensure quality readiness at supplier sites. The role emphasizes process capability, measurement systems, and cross-functional collaboration with SCM and buyers.

Ideal candidates will have 8+ years in supplier quality, strong knowledge of quality tools, and the ability to drive corrective actions and supplier performance improvements across manufacturing partners

Qualifications

• BE / Diploma in Mechanical Engg (Mechanical Engineering)
• 8+ years of experience in Supplier Quality & Development activity
• Knowledge of quality tools and supplier development processes

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and select suppliers based on Eaton quality systems; onsite assessment
• Conduct periodic supplier audits (process, system, product, non-conformance actions)
• Monitor supplier performance using KPIs (DPPM, SCAR defects)
• Develop improvement plans with underperforming suppliers
• Drive APQP/PPAP completion and PSW sign-off at supplier site
• Deploy Quality tools (Control Plan, PFMEA, SPC) to build quality into products
• Coordinate with suppliers on critical parts and special processes
• Ensure production readiness and feasibility at supplier locations

Job description

What you’ll do:

Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for incoming inspection/ Supplier defect - SCAR Monitoring. also responsible for all New Part & localization , Alternate source Part developement, conduct PPAP for all components. SQ Engineer need to closely interact with Supplier, SCM Sourcing & Buyer for the Development part inspection activity qualification /Completion

• Evaluate and select suppliers based on Eaton quality systems _ Onsite assessment
• Conduct Periodic supplier audits _Process, System, product & Non-Conformance action review
• Monitor supplier performance using KPIs (DPPM, SCAR defects)
• Develop improvement plans with underperforming suppliers _ trouble & Focus Supplier
• Should Drive on Production Feasibility Agreement at initial stage, Process Development and establishment, complete APQP/PPAP for all the parts that are qualified, PSW sign Off and Production Readiness Assessment at suppler Place
• Drive that Quality is built into the product & process at suppliers end through deployment of Quality tools like Control Plan, PFMEA, SPC.
• Should have Knowledge on the Critical part management & Special Process _ powder Coating, HT, Tin & Zinc -Plating,
• Should have knowledge on measuring Equipment’s

Qualifications:

• BE / Diploma in - Mechanical Engg
