Overview

Position - Quality Engineer
Location – Holtec Asia, Pune Maharashtra

Responsibilities

• Review Material Test Reports to verify materials meet specified quality standards and requirements; confirm accuracy of test results, compare against relevant specifications (ASME BPVC Section II & Section III, ASTM, and Customer Requirements as applicable); determine material acceptability and take action based on findings.
• Maintain and improve material quality by verifying test results reflect material properties and specifications; compare reports with drawings, bill of materials, and purchase order specifications; determine acceptability or need for further investigation or disposition; collaborate with other departments to address deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Manufacturing Documentation Package Reviews: ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation related to manufacturing processes, materials, and product specifications; review work instructions, drawings, and specifications for discrepancies and compliance with quality standards and regulations; identify and resolve documentation issues; prepare detailed records of non-conformances.
• ACC (Air Cooled Condensers) related responsibilities: perform vendor inspections of bought-out items (e.g., Vacuum ejector system, LT motors, Gearbox, FRP Fan & Fan bells, Motorised Valves, Pumps, Expansion Bellows); prepare and submit ITP/QAP; inspect fabricated/raw items (steel structure, tanks, ducting, piping, fittings, raw plates, pipes, forgings); prepare quality and welding-related documents for TPIA/Client approval; review and maintain stage inspection reports and approved document files; witness and document Hydraulic & Pneumatic Tests and NDT (RT/DP/MPT/UT/VT); maintain NCR/Customer Complaint/Lessons Learnt/Continual Improvement logs; compile final documentation as per MRB index; calibrate and record measuring and monitoring devices; ensure Welding Procedure and Welder Qualification meet ASME SEC IX & AWS D1.1 standards.
