Job summary

MHC Conveying Systems Pvt. Ltd is seeking a Sr. Engineer Operations to oversee production planning and control in Kolkata. The role acts as the central coordinator between Design, Production, QA/QC, Stores, Purchase and Dispatch to ensure timely fabrication and delivery.

Ideal candidates have 8–10 years experience in heavy fabrication and mechanical engineering, with strong Excel and ERP/MRP exposure; AutoCAD knowledge is a plus. Based at Head Office, Sector V, Salt Lake, Kolkata.

Qualifications

• Diploma / B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• ERP/MRP exposure preferred.
• AutoCAD knowledge is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare master, weekly and daily production schedules.
• Monitor work-in-progress and identify bottlenecks.
• Coordinate with Design, Stores, Purchase, QA/QC and Production.
• Plan manpower, machine loading and fabrication sequence.
• Track project progress and prepare daily/weekly MIS.
• Develop recovery plans for delayed projects.
• Ensure timely availability of drawings and materials.
• Drive adherence to customer delivery commitments.
• Conduct production review meetings and elevate critical issues.

Preferred Industry Experience

Heavy Fabrication, Steel Structures, Industrial Ducting, Pressure Vessels, Tanks, Piping, Process Equipment, Material Handling Equipment. Experience working on EPC projects for customers such as L&T, Tata Projects, BHEL, NTPC, IOCL, JSW, Adani, Vedanta or similar organizations will be preferred.
