Job summary

Magellan Aerospace (Tumkur) Private Limited seeks a Senior Engineer / AM to drive end-to-end aerospace manufacturing projects from receipt of raw material to customer delivery.

You will be the single point of contact for FAI and production activities, develop plans, track progress, and lead the project team while ensuring AS9100 compliance and ISO 14001:2015 awareness.

Qualifications

• End-to-end aerospace project execution experience.
• Proficient in metal cutting processes and tooling.
• Awareness of ISO 14001:2015 and OHSAS/MOS requirements.
• Hands-on with NX CAD CAM and CAM tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage complete project execution from material receipt to delivery.
• Single point of contact for FAI and production activities.
• Represent project updates in customer calls on a regular basis.
• Develop detailed project plans with timelines and resources.

Position Summary

Magellan Aerospace (Tumkur) Private Limited has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Engineer / AM. This position is responsible for the end-to-end execution of aerospace manufacturing projects, from receipt of raw material through delivery to the customer.

Essential Responsibilities

• Responsible for the complete project execution cycle, from receipt of raw material through delivery to the customer.
• Act as the single point of contact for customers regarding FAI & production activities.
• Represent project updates during customer weekly/monthly calls.
• Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
• Track project progress and manage changes to project scope, schedule, and cost.
• Facilitate effective communication among stakeholders, team members, and management.
• Identify potential project risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Lead and motivate the project team, resolve conflicts, and ensure effective collaboration.
• Handle system-related activities, including AS9100, OHSAS/MOS, etc.
• Should have awareness and understanding of ISO 14001:2015 requirements.

Position Requirements

Ideally, the jobholder should possess the following Education Qualifications, Skills and experience.

Education Qualification:

BE/B.Tech in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering or above preferred

Indicative Years of Experience Required:

Minimum 5+ years of experience in the aerospace engineering/manufacturing domain.

Skills Set Required:

• The applicant should have knowledge & experience of various metal cutting processes like – Turning, Milling, Drilling, boring, slitting etc.
• Hands on experience in NX CAD CAM, Feature CAM,CATIA CAM V5 / Auto CAD, Vericut software, NX and Feature CAM is must.
• Should have knowledge of various cutting tools & holders required for above operation. Knowledge of cutting parameters needed for Aluminum alloy's, Titanium, Inconel is must.
• Hands on experience in SIEMENS 810D, 840D, FANUC & Mazak control.
• 2D (Manual) & 3D CNC programming knowledge.
• Fluent knowledge of GD&T, fits and tolerances, aerospace materials, special processes & treatments
• Awareness of PFMEA, 5S, 7problem solving QC tools etc.
