Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end VMC milling operations for aerospace components.
• Lead production activities from concept to production including feasibility and pilot runs.
• Supervise CNC programmers for efficient tool paths and machining strategies.
• Review and validate CNC programs, process sheets, tools and fixtures.
• Coordinate daily production to ensure timely delivery and quality.
• Develop process improvements to reduce cycle time and boost productivity.
• Maintain strong client relationships and address technical requirements.
• Collaborate with design, quality and supply chain teams to meet deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace standards and quality norms.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on VMC Milling Manager to oversee the production of precision aerospace machined parts using 4th and 5th axis VMC milling. The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of production, process planning, handling programmers, and excellent client interaction skills. Proficiency in Solid CAM and Catia preferred other CAM also apply based on interview selection will be made.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end VMC milling operations with 4th & 5th axis capabilities for aerospace components.
• Lead production activities from concept to production, including feasibility, process design, and pilot runs.
• Supervise and guide CNC programmers for efficient tool path creation and optimal machining strategies.
• Review and validate CNC programs, process sheets, tool selections, and fixtures for high-complexity aerospace parts.
• Coordinate daily production to ensure timely delivery, high quality, and cost efficiency.
• Develop and implement process improvements for cycle time reduction and productivity enhancement.
• Maintain strong client relationships; interact with customers on technical requirements, approvals, and queries.
• Collaborate with design, quality, and supply chain teams to meet tight project deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards, customer specifications, and quality norms.
• Train and mentor, the programming and machining teams to upgrade skills and meet production goals.
• Prepare production reports, MIS, and project status updates for management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
• 8-15 years of hands-on experience in aerospace precision machining.
• Expertise in VMC milling (4th & 5th Axis) operations.
• Proven experience in NPD for aerospace parts.
• Excellent knowledge of SolidCAM and Catia software or other CAM s/w like NX, UG, Hyper mill, Power mill also are welcome - must be proficient in programming, simulations, and machining strategy.
• Strong understanding of aerospace drawings, GD&T, and process documentation.
• Experience handling a team of programmers and machinists.
• Effective leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage client interactions and build long-term relationships.
• Familiarity with aerospace quality standards and safety norms.
