Job summary

Qualifications

• 7-8 years of packaging engineering experience in packaging tech
• Hands-on with design tools like AutoCAD, SolidWorks or Inventor
• Ability to read and interpret RFQs, scope of work documents and client specs

Responsibilities

• Design packaging equipment layouts using AutoCAD for primary, secondary and EOL packaging
• Prepare mechanical technical specifications for packaging equipment such as palletizers and conveyors
• Collaborate with designers to meet client needs and industry standards
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure projects are executed on time
• Evaluate packaging equipment options and make recommendations for purchases
• Support installation and provide documentation for packaging lines and changeovers
• Monitor and improve OEE of packaging machines and maintain client-facing communications

Job description

Work on Packaging Equipment Layouts on AutoCAD.
Preparing Mechanical Technical specifications for packaging equipment such as Primary, Secondary and End of line Packaging (Palletizers), and conveyors etc.
Working with the designers to develop technical packaging equipment documents so that the client's needs and other industry standards are met to the highest level
Work with stakeholders to execute the project on time.
Ensure the technical competencies and reputation of the mechanical/packaging engineers are enhanced and developed to consistently meet the technical requirements of projects and studies.
Evaluating technically and making recommendations for the purchase of various Packaging equipment items.
Participates as a team member on various manufacturing engineering projects i.e. Changeovers in layout during new product launches, equipment & machine changes and surges in production.
Should be able to execute FMCG/Chemical product Packaging projects.
Must have experience in Packaging Technology
Must have hands on experience on designing tools e.g., AutoCAD, Solidworks/Inventors etc.
Available to travel overseas and Domestic clients (As per Requirement)
Ability to understand technical documents e.g., RFQs, Scope of work documents.
Specialty in Primary Packaging, secondary packaging including End-of-Line (EOL) packaging systems.
Ability to manage client interaction and peer review on design issues during all project development phases.
Installation Support documentation for packaging lines.
Tracking and Improvement of OEE of the Packaging machines.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Capable to defining packing line requirement based on various SKUs.
