Philips is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer to contribute to the development and support lifecycle of medical device components.

You will analyze requirements, help validate designs with comprehensive test plans, and document specifications and results to ensure regulatory compliance. Collaborating with senior engineers, you will implement design improvements, troubleshoot issues, and manage component selection and obsolescence.

Formación

• 4 to 6 years of experience in product development and support lifecycle management of medical devices.
• Knowledge of communication interfaces like RS232, RS485, CAN, Ethernet and USB.
• Sound knowledge of digital electronics and analog circuits.
• Experience in selection of standard components from supplier's catalogue to match design requirement.
• Component obsolescence management/BOM analysis.
• Preferably medical background/basic knowledge of medical standards.
• Good knowledge in PCBA redesign.
• Hands on experience with PLM tools like Agile, Windchill or equivalent; sound knowledge of QMS process.
• Global mindset, excellent communication skills and a positive 'can do' attitude.
• Team player.

Responsabilidades

• Compiles technical findings, design proposals, and project updates to stakeholders clearly.
• Implements engineering best practices to streamline design processes and reduce time-to-market.
• Assists in refining product designs based on testing feedback and user experience.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assists in analyzing engineering requirements to support the development of optimal design solutions for medical device components, ensuring compliance with industry standards, working under direct supervision.
• Supports the development and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures, and protocols to validate engineering designs, maintaining high-quality assurance standards.
• Document design specifications, test results, and validation procedures accurately and thoroughly, ensuring records meet regulatory compliance requirements.
• Participates in the implementation of design improvements based on testing and evaluation activities, contributing to innovation initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality and efficiency.
• Assists in troubleshooting technical issues across hardware, software, or other technical components, working with senior engineers to identify and resolve complex challenges to minimize production downtime.
• Tracks the performance and reliability of components and systems, identifying areas for improvement and supporting optimization initiatives under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Follows company policies, procedures, and quality standards to ensure consistent compliance and excellence in execution.
• Compiles technical findings, design proposals, and project updates to team members and stakeholders, effectively communicating complex engineering concepts in a clear and concise manner.
• Implements engineering best practices and methodologies under the guidance of senior engineers to streamline design processes, improve efficiency, and reduce time-to-market for new products.
• Assists in assessing feedback from testing and user experience to refine and enhance product designs, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and product performance.

Minimum required Education:

Master/Bachelor in Electrical/Electronics/Equivalent engineering.

Minimum required Experience:

Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company's facilities.
