Job summary

Growth For Impact is seeking a senior detail-oriented engineer to lead the detailed engineering phase for ground- and roof-mounted solar installations. You will optimize performance data, prepare BoM and SLDs, and coordinate with the Project Manager and customers for timely submissions.

Responsibilities include obtaining inputs, ensuring smooth information transfer to Projects, SCM, QA, O&M, and other stakeholders, and preparing execution documents for handover.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years total work experience in design and engineering.
• 2–3 years of solar industry experience.
• Proficient in MS Office, PVSYST, Helioscope, and AutoCAD.

Job description

ROLE

• Single point responsibility for project engineering during the detailed engineering phase for ground‑and roof‑mounted solar systems, including detailed system design, generation data optimization, layout preparation, BoM and SLD creation, and submission to the customer in coordination with the Project Manager.
• Estimate correct plant performance and determine optimum Bill of Materials.
• Prepare as‑built drawings and provide plant performance data for handover to Operations and Maintenance.
• Obtain necessary inputs from internal and external customers for designing optimum solar systems and attend customer meetings as required.
• Ensure smooth transfer of information to Projects, SCM, QA, O&M, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare and submit project execution documents on time.

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma or BE in Electrical Engineering.
• 6–10 years of total work experience in design and engineering, with at least 2–3 years in the solar industry.
• Expertise in Microsoft Office suite.
• Expertise in running PVSYST.
• Working knowledge of Helioscope, AutoCAD, and Google SketchUp.
• Ability to view the entire solar system, including civil and structural elements, from a bird’s‑eye perspective.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and Hindi.
