Job summary

Unilever Mumbai is seeking a Depot Operations Associate to support the DC in running an efficient, safe, and compliant depot operation. You will coordinate day-to-day warehousing and distribution activities to ensure timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of products while maintaining inventory accuracy and service levels.

• Experience in warehouse/depot operations; FMCG background preferred.
• Knowledge of WMS and inventory management.

• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.
• Graduate in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or related discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day warehouse and depot operations (inbound, storage, outbound, returns) to meet service and OTIF targets.
• Coordinate with warehouse teams, transporters, and 3PL partners to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor inventory accuracy, support cycle counts, and resolve stock variances.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, hygiene, and compliance standards.
• Track KPIs such as productivity, damages, turnaround time, and service levels; support corrective actions.
• Support manpower deployment, shift planning, and resource utilization within the depot.
• Resolve routine operational issues and escalation that reach the DC Manager.
• Support implementation of digital tools, process improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain operational records, reports, and documentation as required.
• Supervise contract workforce on shop floor and ensure SOP compliance.

• Execute day-to-day warehouse and depot operations (inbound, storage, outbound, returns) to meet service and OTIF targets.
• Coordinate with warehouse teams, transporters, and 3PL partners to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor inventory accuracy, support cycle counts, and assist in resolving stock variances.
• Ensure adherence to Unilever safety, quality, hygiene, and compliance standards.
• Track operational KPIs such as productivity, damages, turnaround time, and service levels; highlight issues and support corrective actions.
• Support manpower deployment, shift planning, and resource utilization within the depot.
• Resolve routine operational issues and escalation exceptions to the DC Manager.
• Support implementation of digital tools, process improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain operational records, reports, and documentation as required.

Skills & Experience

• Experience in warehouse, depot, logistics, or distribution operations, preferably in FMCG or a similar environment.
• Working knowledge of WMS, inventory management, and warehouse processes.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.
• Graduate in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or related discipline preferred.
