Job summary

Ascendion is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to join the DevOps/Data Engineering team in Gurgaon. You will design and maintain data pipelines, integrate cloud data services, and optimize warehousing and analytics capabilities.

The role requires 4+ years of hands-on data engineering, strong SQL/Python skills, and experience with ETL/ELT, Airflow, and cloud data warehouses. You will collaborate across teams to drive scalable data solutions for Fortune 500 clients.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on data engineering experience.
• SQL and database concepts mastery required.
• Proficiency in Python for data processing.
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflows.
• Experience with AWS / Azure / GCP cloud platforms.
• Experience with data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Azure Synapse.
• Knowledge of Apache Spark / PySpark.
• Experience with Airflow or similar workflow tools.
• Strong data modeling, dimensional modeling, and warehousing know-how.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
