Job summary

Ascendion is seeking a DevOps Engineer for Chennai to bridge software development and IT operations. You will automate CI/CD pipelines, manage cloud infrastructure via code, and ensure system reliability, security, and scalability.

You will work with Docker, Linux, Git, and observability tools to maintain performant platforms for global clients, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, diverse environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in creating scripted/declarative pipelines in Jenkins.
• Hands-on experience in Git, Git-Bash, Linux, and Docker.
• Experience with observability tools such as Datadog, Dynatrace, Nagios, or Grafana.
• Experience with verification tools and unit testing is desirable.
• Good communication and team collaboration skills.
• Experience with build systems such as Maven, Gradle, Bazel, or Make.
• Experience with YAML, Python, and PowerShell.

Key Responsibilities

• A DevOps engineer bridges the gap between software development and IT operations by automating CI/CD pipelines, managing cloud infrastructure via code, and ensuring system reliability, security, and scalability.

Minimum Qualifications

• Hands on Experience in creating scripted/declarative pipeline in Jenkins
• Hands on experience in Git, Git-Bash
• Hands on experience in Linux, shell scripting
• Hands on experience in Docker. Creating container images (Linux & Windows)
• Hands on experience in any Observability tools Datadog/Dynatrace/Nagios/Grafana
• Experience in Verification tools- Static analysis tools, Unit Testing tools
• Good Communication Skills
• Good Team player and motivated to work in cross cultural environment
• Working Experience in build systems maven, gradle, bazel, make
• Working Experience in Yaml, Python, Powershell
