Job summary

Ascendion is hiring a Python Backend Developer to join our team in Gurugram. You will develop, maintain, and optimize scalable backend applications using Python and modern frameworks. The role involves building RESTful APIs, integrating with databases, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact software.

You will work with Django/Flask/FastAPI, SQL and NoSQL databases, and cloud platforms. Strong emphasis on clean code, testing, and performance optimization.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python and modern backend frameworks (Django/Flask/FastAPI).
• Strong experience building RESTful services and microservices.
• Solid SQL experience (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB).
• Experience with Git version control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong unit testing skills (PyTest/Unittest) and debugging.
• Familiarity with Docker containers and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Understanding of OOP, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.

Responsibilities
