Job summary

Ascendion in Hyderabad is looking for an AWS Big Data Engineer with 7+ years of hands‑on experience. You will design and implement scalable data solutions on AWS Cloud using Java/Scala/Python, Spark, Hadoop, HDFS, and MapReduce, and optimize batch and streaming pipelines.

You should be proficient with EMR/EC2/S3, Airflow, and CI/CD tools, and have exposure to Snowflake and DevOps practices. This hybrid role involves 2 days on-site at Hyderabad and close collaboration with global teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in analysis, coding, implementation and testing of Big Data Applications on AWS Cloud using Java/Scala/Python, Cassandra, Hadoop, HDFS, Spark, MapReduce framework
• Must have PySpark, Java coding/Scala experience for REST API and SOAP webservices
• Must have AWS experience (Batch and API microservices) using EMR/EC2/ECS/S3/Airflow/Step Functions, AWS API Gateway

About The Role
