Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Pune, India is seeking a Civil/Structural Designer. Responsibilities include creating 3D models using software like PDMS and CADWORKS, producing detailed drawings, and ensuring compliance with international standards. Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience for diploma holders, or 8 years for ITI draftsman.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for producing Structural GA drawings from 3D.

Job description

The Civil/Structural Designer shall be familiar with overall Civil/Structural departmental activities and shall be responsible for the role listed below in line with COMPANY’s project requirements:

Responsibilities

• Prepare 3D models of Civil and Structure on software’s like PDMS 3D, CADWORKS, PDS etc. Knowledge of PDMS is must for desired candidate.
• Shall have detailed knowledge of drafting standards and practices in 2D like ACAD, Micro station.
• Shall be familiar with cost effective and optimized solutions to optimize fabrication cost.
• Shall be able to give innovative solutions to design, where space is a constraint
• Shall be familiar with international standards, project specifications, and general client’s specifications in oil and gas industries.
• Produce detailed drawings and deliverables for both proposal and project requirements.
• Shall be responsible for producing Structural GA drawings from 3D.
• Shall interface with other disciplines to fulfill their requirements
• Shall be familiar with producing civil UG composite drawings.

Preferred Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil engineering with minimum 5 years of experience or ITI draftsman with minimum 8 yrs of experience.
• Candidate shall be reporting to Civil/Structural department manager or lead engineer.
• Candidate shall have detail and sound engineering judgment, shall be enthused by the opportunity to work with minimal supervision in our office in Pune, India and abroad on Project specific locations.
• Shall have Understanding of the fundamental requirements of the project and shall be able to conceptualize and translate ideas into design drawings.
• Experience in field engineering, brown field engineering project and offshore platforms will be an added advantage.
• The candidate shall be quality conscious and with the approach to do things right at first time.
