Job summary

Quest Global Bengaluru is seeking a Structural Design Engineer to prepare drawings and 3D models for industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects. You will develop GA and fabrication drawings for steel and concrete structures, and perform calculations to verify code compliance.

You will coordinate with civil, mechanical, electrical and process teams, review vendor drawings, support MTO activities, and participate in design reviews to resolve clashes.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering.
• 3 to 10+ years of experience in structural design and detailing.
• Experience in industrial plants, Oil & Gas, Power, E-House, Offshore, or EPC projects.
• Good understanding of structural steel and reinforced concrete design.

• Develop General Arrangement (GA) drawings, fabrication drawings, and detailing for steel and concrete structures.
• Perform structural calculations and verify design compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, electrical, and process engineering disciplines.
• Review vendor drawings and incorporate design inputs into project documentation.
• Support material take-off (MTO) preparation and estimation activities.
• Participate in model reviews and resolve design clashes.
• Ensure timely submission of quality engineering deliverables.
• Provide support during fabrication, construction, and commissioning stages.

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with Tekla Structures, SP3D, Aveva E3D, PDMS, or similar 3D modeling software.
• Knowledge of structural analysis software such as STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, or ETABS.
• Ability to prepare fabrication and erection drawings.
• Knowledge of international codes and standards (AISC, Eurocode, IS Codes, BS Codes, etc.).
