Brisa Technologies in Pune, India, is seeking a Sr. BMC Discovery (ADDM) Engineer with 4+ years of professional experience. Hybrid work mode with flexible arrangements. You will own the discovery and scanning layer, configuring, tuning, and maintaining BMC Discovery to accurately identify assets and dependencies.

The role requires hands-on ADDM blueprint design, pattern customization, and strong troubleshooting skills to ensure reliable CMDB integration and downstream IT operations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience with BMC Discovery.
• Hands-on blueprint design and configuration of ADDM.
• Pattern customization (TPL) for non-standard technologies.
• Dependency mapping and discovery scan tuning/troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of how discovery feeds CMDB and downstream AIOps.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain BMC Discovery (ADDM) blueprints service model.
• Customize discovery patterns (TPL) to cover non-standard technologies.
• Configure and troubleshoot scan jobs, credentials, and discovery access across environments.
• Build and validate dependency mapping between discovered assets.
• Resolve discovery gaps and coverage issues (missing assets, incomplete relationships).
• Work with the CMDB Data Architect to map data into CI classes and reconciliation rules.
• Support upgrade planning for Discovery version compatibility and environment readiness.

Role Summary

Own the discovery and scanning layer of the platform configuring, tuning, and maintaining BMC Discovery so it accurately and reliably identifies infrastructure and application assets and their dependencies.

Must-Have Skills

• BMC Discovery (ADDM): hands-on blueprint design and configuration.
• Pattern customization (TPL) for non-standard technology coverage.
• Dependency mapping and discovery scan tuning/troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of how discovery output feeds CMDB and downstream AIOps.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Exposure to CMDB reconciliation concepts (as a data source owner, not the architect).
• Scripting (Python/Shell) for discovery automation or validation.
• BMC Discovery certification
