Job summary

Virtuous Advisors & Resources is seeking a senior professional to join the structured credit/private credit team in Mumbai. The role involves overseeing the real asset portfolio, evaluating investment opportunities, conducting financial analysis, and supporting day-to-day portfolio management and monitoring activities.

Key responsibilities include evaluating opportunities in renewable energy, real estate, REITs/Invits, warehousing, and roads; building financial models; and applying strong risk

Qualifications

• Masters in Finance or equivalent from a reputed institute.
• CFA/CA qualification preferred.
• 6–9 years of relevant experience in credit evaluation/underwriting.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate investment opportunities in structured/private credit real assets.
• Analyze financial statements and business models; build financial models.
• Understand structured debt/corporate lending deals and risk assessment.
• Maintain MIS and track portfolio performance.
• Support day-to-day portfolio management and reporting.

About the Opportunity

The candidate will be an integral part of the structured credit / private credit team and will be working closely with the Head of Private Credit in overseeing overall real asset portfolio, evaluate investment opportunities, conducting financial analysis, preparing reports and presentations and support in day to day portfolio management & monitoring activities

Key Responsibilities

1. 1. Evaluate investment opportunities in areas of structured/private credit real assets space.
2. 2. Sectors could be renewable energy, commercial real estate, reits and Invits, warehousing, roads etc.
3. 3. Analyzing financial statements, business models, preparing and working on financial models.
4. 4. Good understanding of structured debt/Corporate lending deals and risk assessment.
5. 5. Maintaining MIS and tracking portfolio performance efficiently.

Key Requirements

1. 1. The candidate should have a masters in finance from Tier 1 institute and/or a CFA/CA
2. 2. Possess 6 to 9 years of relevant experience in credit evaluation/underwriting of opportunities either in corporate credit, structured finance
3. 3. Strong analytical skills, good risk assessment approach and an ability to pay attention to detail, and persistence to dive deep into a research or diligence process.
4. 4. Candidates with excellent fundamental corporate credit analysis & financial modelling skills
5. 5. Preferred industry: Investment Banks/ Big 4 Advisory Firms/ Banks /NBFC
