Job summary

The Corporate Institute in Mumbai is seeking a Senior Associate to join the Private Credit (Real Assets) team. You will oversee the real asset portfolio, evaluate opportunities, conduct financial analysis, and support day-to-day portfolio management and monitoring.

Ideal candidates have 6–9 years in credit evaluation, strong financial modelling skills, and a CFA/CA or equivalent qualification, with exposure to structured finance in corporate lending.

Qualifications

• The candidate should hold a masters in finance from a Tier 1 institute and/or CFA/CA.
• 6–9 years of relevant experience in credit evaluation/underwriting in corporate credit or structured finance.
• Strong analytical skills with robust risk assessment and attention to detail.
• Excellent fundamentals in corporate credit analysis and financial modelling.
• Preferred: experience in Investment Banks/Big 4 advisory firms/banks/NBFCs.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate investment opportunities in structured/private credit focused on real assets.
• Sectors may include renewable energy, real estate, REITs/InvITs, warehousing, roads, etc.
• Analyze financial statements, business models, and develop financial models.
• Demonstrate understanding of structured debt and corporate lending risk.
• Maintain MIS and track portfolio performance effectively.

Sr. Associate Private Credit (Real Assets)

Location: Mumbai

About the Opportunity:

The candidate will be an integral part of the structured credit / private credit team and will be working closely with the Head of Private Credit in overseeing overall real asset portfolio, evaluate investment opportunities, conducting financial analysis, preparing reports and presentations and support in day to day portfolio management & monitoring activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate investment opportunities in areas of structured/private credit – real assets space.
• Sectors could be renewable energy, commercial real estate, reits and Invits, warehousing, roads etc.
• Analyzing financial statements, business models, preparing and working on financial models.
• Good understanding of structured debt/Corporate lending deals and risk assessment.
• Maintaining MIS and tracking portfolio performance efficiently.

Key Requirements:

• The candidate should have a masters in finance from Tier 1 institute and/or a CFA/CA.
• Possess 6 to 9 years of relevant experience in credit evaluation/underwriting of opportunities either in corporate credit, structured finance.
• Strong analytical skills, good risk assessment approach and an ability to pay attention to detail, and persistence to dive deep into a research or diligence process.
• Candidates with excellent fundamental corporate credit analysis & financial modelling skills.
• Preferred industry: Investment Banks/ Big 4 Advisory Firms/ Banks /NBFC.
