Job summary

Alcon is seeking a Sr. Associate in Logistics & Freight Management to support Transportation Management, train end users, and maintain data integrity across TMS and SAP. You will monitor carrier performance, collaborate with global teams, and drive service improvements.

The role requires strong Excel and SAP skills and a background in supply chain logistics. The ideal candidate has 4–6 years of total experience, 3+ in relevant roles, and a proven track record with TMS/P44 systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in supply chain/logistics or a related field.
• 4–6 years total experience in logistics or supply chain roles.
• 3+ years relevant experience in logistics planning or TMS.
• Experience with TMS and P44 systems.
• SAP integrations with ERP systems.
• MS Excel with pivot tables and VLOOKUPs; SAP BI reporting.
• Fluent reading/writing/listening in English.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, develop, and implement long-term supply chain strategies and networks.
• Support new programs, promotions, forecasting, and events coordination.
• Leverage Blue Yonder TMS and SAP integrations for transportation planning.

• Focus on carrier/service level KPIs using SAP and TMS data in a control tower view.

Job Description Summary

Sr. Associate, Logistics & Freight Management will be a vital role in ensuring success and operational excellence of the Alcon Transportation Management. The Transportation Planning Analyst associate will be responsible for training of other end users, serving as a Subject Matter Expert in all areas of Logistics Planning. The TMS Planning Analyst will also be responsible for maintaining the integrity of TMS and SAP data and managing the exceptions within TMS and SAP in a timely manner to meet customer expectations for deliveries.

Job Description

• Analyzes, develops, and implements long-term supply chain strategies and networks that address capacity issues and production location decisions in support of business goals.
• Supports business execution of new programs and initiatives that include promotional activities, forecast and coordination for key events, new product launches, and network redesigns.
• Good knowledge of Blue Yonder TMS system and SAP integration for Transportation planning.
• Good knowledge of integrations between SAP ERP systems with supply chain partners like carriers and visibility tools
• Monitors key sales and operations planning performance indicators, cost-to-serve performance data, and coordinates cross-functional work teams to increase effectiveness of supply chain initiatives.
• Key focus area will be on monitoring the service levels of the various carriers and modes to ensure the service levels are reviewed to KPIs, monitoring shipments with the SAP and TMS core team to identify barriers and identifying trends in the regional area from a "Control Tower" perspective.
• Partnering with the other members of Global Supply Chain teams to identify cost savings and service improvement areas within the network.

Minimum requirement:

• Bachelor's degree or above relevant in supply chain Logistics Field or similar area
• 4 - 6 years of total experience
• 3+ years Relevant experience
• TMS and P44 system experience
• SAP or relevant ERP system integrations.
• MS Excel experience (pivot tables and vlookups) and SAP BI reporting.
• Knowledge on supply chain logistics.
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
