Position Overview

This position will be responsible for all technical aspects of Power BI report development. Either as an individual contributor or as a team player supporting Power BI lead in the creation and ongoing refinement of reports for various departments across business units.

Responsibilities

• Power BI Report development.


• Building Analysis Services reporting models.


• Developing visual reports, KPI scorecards, and dashboards using Power BI desktop.


• Connecting data sources, importing data, and transforming data for Business intelligence.


• Analytical thinking for translating data into informative reports and visuals.


• Capable of implementing row-level security on data along with an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI.


• Should have an edge over making DAX queries in Power BI desktop.


• Expert in using advanced-level calculations on the data set.


• Responsible for design methodology and project documentaries.


• Should be able to develop tabular and multidimensional models that are compatible with data warehouse standards.


• Very good communication skills must be able to discuss the requirements effectively with the client teams, and with internal teams.

Requirements

• Should have 8-10 year of experience with BI tools and systems such as Power BI, Tableau, and ERP (JD Edwards/ SAP etc), experience with JDE will be preferred.


• Knowledge in Microsoft BI Stack


• Grip over data analytics


• Should possess software development skills


• Data Source Connectivity: Knowledge of connecting to various data sources, such as databases, cloud services, and APIs


• Power Query: Ability to use Power Query for data extraction and transformation


• SQL: Familiarity with SQL for querying databases.


• Nice to have Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate: This certification covers Power BI in detail and demonstrates your proficiency in data analysis using Power BI.


• Nice to have Microsoft Certified: Power BI Certified: This certification specifically focuses on Power BI and certifies your skills in data modelling, visualizations, and DAX.
