Altera Digital Health is seeking a meticulous and experienced Sr Accountant to join our finance team in India. The role focuses on general ledger activities, reconciliations, and compliance within a dynamic multinational setting.

The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years in accounting, strong analytical abilities, and proficiency with MS-Office. Exposure to Oracle R12 or Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus, along with excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in an accounting role with experience in GL function.
• Exposure to internal controls environment in MNC.
• Experience with Oracle R12 or MS Dynamics 365 is a plus.
• Solid knowledge of MS-Office and professional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monthly accounting activities with adherence to the Close Calendar.
• Prepare and post accruals with accuracy and completeness.
• Manage Intangible Assets accounting – capitalization, amortization and schedules.
• Handle Lease accounting – recognition, measurement and reporting.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and intercompany accounting tasks.
• Support internal/statutory audits and reconciliation work.
• Assist with direct taxation related tasks and analytic reporting.

Position Summary

Altera is seeking a meticulous and experienced Sr Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, focusing on general ledger activities, reconciliations, and compliance. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and a proactive approach to managing complex financial operations within an MNC environment.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Monthly accounting activities with adherence to the Close Calendar
• Preparing and posting accruals with accuracy and completeness
• Intangible Assets Accounting – capitalization, amortization, and maintaining related schedules
• Lease Accounting – accounting for leases, including recognition, measurement, and related reporting
• Accruals Accounting
• Preparing Bank Reconciliations
• Understanding of Intercompany transactions and Foreign Expenses calculation
• Preparing Account reconciliations and submission of the same in system within the assigned deadlines.
• Shall also undertake accounting of other liabilities and transaction service agreement activity.
• Supporting Internal/Statutory Audit – working on various audit requirements, reports, reconciliations.
