Job summary

HealthEdge is seeking an Associate Accountant in Hyderabad to support accounting, finance and compliance for its Indian operations. You will collaborate with HR, administration and external service providers to ensure timely payments, accurate invoicing, tax compliance and month-end closings.

The role requires 3–4 years in core accounting, proficiency in Excel and familiarity with Netsuite; strong English skills are essential, with Telugu a plus.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of experience in core accounting operations (Record to Report).
• Budgeting, financial analysis, MIS reports, account reconciliations, vendor onboarding and management, payroll, vendor payments, bank remittances.
• Experience using accounting software; Netsuite will be a plus.
• Basic exposure to income tax, GST, provident fund laws.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, GreytHR Payroll, Teams, SharePoint.
• Proficient in reading, speaking and writing English; Telugu would be an added advantage.
• Strong verbal and written communication; team player; work-from-home or office-based environment.
• Experience in technology companies / GCCs is a plus.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce or Business Administration; semi-qualified candidates not appearing for CA/CS/CMA exams.

Our India Finance team looks after accounting, finance and compliance functions of 2 Indian companies that are part of HealthEdge group. We have 600+ employees in Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Pune in product development, DevOps, TechOps and Technical Services.

What you will do:

• Interact with employees, HR and administration teams to collect information relevant for the accounting, finance and compliance function.
• Interact with external providers of banking, accounting, regulatory, tax compliance and other services.
• Assist the Team Lead - Accounting with vendor payments and other remittances, adherence to policies, review of invoices to review TDS & GST aspects and claims,PO assessment & creation, month-close accounting entries, MIS reporting and periodic compliance.

What you bring:

• Proactive work ethic, work prioritization ability, requiring minimal supervision or follow-ups
• 3-4 years of experience working in team handling core accounting operations (Record to Report processes)
• Familiarity with budgeting process, financial analysis, preparation of MIS reports, account reconciliations, vendor onboarding and management, payroll, vendor payments, bank remittances will be a plus
• Ability to use accounting software. Prior experience of Netsuite will be a plus.
• Past exposure to basic compliance under income-tax, GST, provident fund laws
• Experience using tools such as Excel, Word, Outlook, GreytHR Payroll, Teams, SharePoint.
• Proficiency with reading, speaking and writing in English.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in Telugu would be an added advantage
• Ability to answer simple tax, PF and other payroll related queries of employeesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Great team player and collaborates well in both office-based or work-from-home environment.
