Job summary

Altera Digital Health is seeking a meticulous Sr Accountant to join our finance team in Maharashtra. The role focuses on general ledger activities, reconciliations, and compliance within an MNC setting.

The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical capabilities and proactive management of financial operations. 5–7 years of accounting experience with GL, exposure to internal controls, and familiarity with Oracle R12 or Microsoft Dynamics 365 are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Commerce/CA Inter/CMA Inter.
• 5–7 years of accounting experience with GL.
• Exposure to internal controls environment in MNC.
• Experience with Oracle R12 or Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred.
• Strong MS-Office and analytical/communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monthly general ledger activities in line with close calendar.
• Prepare and post accruals with accuracy and completeness.
• Manage intangible assets capitalization and amortization schedules.
• Handle lease accounting including recognition and reporting.
• Perform bank reconciliations and intercompany transaction reviews.
• Assist internal/statutory audits and provide reconciliations.

Position Summary

Altera is seeking a meticulous and experienced Sr Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, focusing on general ledger activities, reconciliations, and compliance. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and a proactive approach to managing complex financial operations within an MNC environment.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Monthly accounting activities with adherence to the Close Calendar
• Preparing and posting accruals with accuracy and completeness
• Intangible Assets Accounting – capitalization, amortization, and maintaining related schedules
• Lease Accounting – accounting for leases, including recognition, measurement, and related reporting
• Accruals Accounting
• Preparing Bank Reconciliations
• Understanding of Intercompany transactions and Foreign Expenses calculation
• Preparing Account reconciliations and submission of the same in system within the assigned deadlines.
• Shall also undertake accounting of other liabilities and transaction service agreement activity.
• Supporting Internal/Statutory Audit – working on various audit requirements, reports, reconciliations.

Qualifications

• Bachelors/Master’s degree in Commerce/CA Inter/CMA Inter
• 5-7 years of experience required in an Accounting role with experience in GL function
• Exposure to internal controls environment in MNC
• Worked on Oracle R12/ Experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 will be an added advantage.
• Sound knowledge of MS-Office
• Strong Analytical skills
• Good Communication skills
