Job summary

Infosys is seeking an experienced SQL Server DBA for offshore operations in Bengaluru. The role focuses on production server administration, HA/DR implementation, backup/recovery, security, upgrades, migrations, maintenance plans, replication, and performance tuning.

Strong RCA and incident management skills are required. The position requires 8–10 years of relevant experience in SQL Server administration, with hands-on experience on Windows Server environments and SQL Server Always On

Qualifications

• Expertise in database administration on production servers and troubleshooting.
• Experience in configuring SQL Server High Availability and DR strategies.
• Proficiency in SQL Server backup and recovery.
• Experience in user management, roles and permissions.
• Experience with SQL Server upgrades, migrations, and service packs.
• Knowledge of maintenance plans and SQL Server Agent jobs.

Responsibilities

• Handle P1/P2 incidents and perform RCA using problem tickets.
• Analyze recurring incidents and provide preventive solutions.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience in SQL Server administration.
