Job summary

DCM Infotech Ltd. in Delhi is seeking an experienced MS SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and optimize SQL Server databases across production environments. You will ensure performance, availability, and security while handling backups, recovery, and maintenance tasks.

The role involves tuning queries, implementing HA/DR, coordinating patches, and working with developers to optimize procedures. Familiarity with Azure SQL and hybrid cloud setups is a plus, along with strong scripting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA in a production environment.
• Strong proficiency in SQL Server 2016/2019/2022.
• Expertise in T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, and SSMS.
• Experience with high availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR).
• Familiarity with Azure SQL, SQL Managed Instances, or hybrid cloud environments is a plus.
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization using native tools.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server instances (AlwaysOn, clustering, replication).
• Perform database tuning and performance monitoring.
• Manage database security (users, roles, privileges).
• Plan and implement backup and recovery strategies.
• Troubleshoot database issues including deadlocks and slow queries.
• Automate routine tasks using PowerShell, T-SQL, or scripting tools.
• Monitor health, usage, and growth for efficient performance and scalability.
• Develop and maintain documentation of systems, configurations, and procedures.
• Support development by optimizing queries and stored procedures with developers.
• Apply patches and updates to database servers in coordination with IT.
• Ensure data integrity and compliance with SOX, HIPAA, GDPR.

Job Summary :-

We are seeking an experienced MS SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and maintain our Microsoft SQL Server databases. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, and security of databases, as well as managing database backups, recovery, and performance tuning.
