We are looking for an experienced SQL Database Administrator (DBA) with 8+ years of hands-on experience managing Microsoft SQL Server environments (2017,2019 & 2022). The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end database management, performance optimization, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies.

Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, patch, and maintain SQL Server (2017, 2019)
- Plan and execute SQL Server migrations and upgrades
- Configure and maintain HA/DR solutions: Backup/Restore, FCI, AG, Mirroring, Replication, Log-shipping
- Ensure RPO/RTO objectives are met and regularly test DR strategies
- Performance monitoring and tuning (wait stats, indexing, query optimization, fragmentation, statistics updates)
- Monitor SQL Server logs, Agent logs, and Windows logs
- Cluster monitoring and failover management
- Deadlock and blocking resolution
- Configure monitoring tools and alerts
- Database consistency checks and disk space monitoring
- Install and troubleshoot SSIS, SSRS, SSAS
- Conduct health checks using automated scripts/tools
- Security management (logins, roles, linked servers, audit configuration)
- Data file space management and storage capacity planning
- Review SQL scripts developed by the application team
- Maintain detailed documentation of database environments
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of relational database principles and best practices
- Hands-on experience with HA/DR strategies and SQL migrations
- Strong T-SQL expertise
- Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory
- Capacity planning and performance tuning experience
- Experience in patching standalone and clustered instances
- Incident, Change, and Problem Management (ITIL exposure preferred)
- Knowledge of virtualization and server/storage hardware
- Basic knowledge of Azure SQL and Azure VM
