Job summary

Swathi Business Solutions is seeking an experienced SQL DBA to join the team in Mumbai. The role involves performing traditional DBA activities, maintenance, and on-call support within a rotation.

You will collaborate with global customers and lead database operations with a focus on reliability and performance. Ideal candidates have 6+ years of SQL DBA experience, strong knowledge of Windows, replication/HA setups, and a proven ability to automate tasks using tools like Ansible.

Qualifications

• At least 6+ years of SQL DBA experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, networks, and Active Directory.
• Experience in standby/replication setup and SQL tuning.
• Experience with database maintenance tasks and automation.

Responsibilities

• Provide database administration service along with Team Lead.
• Coordinate with Global customers.
• Follow standard team processes and define new ones with corrections.
• Perform traditional DBA activities independently and guide team members.
• Provide escalation support when required.
• On-call rotation for 24x7 support.
• Database automation for MSSQL using Ansible.
• Pre-installation tasks and SQL Server installation/patch mgmt.
• Install & maintain DB tools; upgrade and migrate databases.
• Design and implement physical database structures; setup in 32/64 bit environments.
