Job summary

VELS HOLISM REHABILITATION CENTRE in Chennai invites a Speech and Language Therapist to assess, diagnose, and manage speech, language, and communication disorders for both children and adults. The role covers standardized assessments, individualized plans, and delivery of therapy sessions.

The successful candidate will monitor progress, document findings, educate families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure carryover of skills and continuity of care in a rehabilitation

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Speech Therapy and management of Speech disorders.
• Assessing and treating Communication Disorders.
• Evaluating and managing Language Disorders.
• Identifying and treating Dysphagia and related swallowing difficulties.
• Recognized degree or master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology & Speech Language Pathology, or a related field.
• Registration or license with appropriate professional bodies, as applicable.
• Experience in clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation in a rehabilitation or clinical setting.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team with clear, empathetic communication with clients and families.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to ethical practice and confidentiality.
• Comfort working with diverse age groups; pediatric or neuro-rehabilitation experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage speech, language, and communication disorders across pediatric and adult populations.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Speech and Language Therapist based in Chennai. The Speech and Language Therapist will assess, diagnose, and manage speech, language, and communication disorders across pediatric and adult populations.
