Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Speech Language Pathologist role based in Bengaluru. The Speech Language Pathologist will assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders in individuals with neurological conditions, including stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, Parkinson’s disease, and related disorders. Daily responsibilities include conducting comprehensive speech, language, and swallowing evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering one-on-one and group therapy sessions. The role involves collaborating closely with neurologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and psychologists to create integrated rehabilitation plans, as well as educating clients and caregivers on home programs and compensatory strategies. The Speech Language Pathologist will also document progress, participate in case conferences, contribute to outcome measurement, and support quality improvement and research initiatives within the institute.

Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in Speech Therapy, including assessment, treatment planning, and intervention for neurological populations.
  • Proficiency in managing Communication Disorders and Language Disorders across adults and, when applicable, adolescents.
  • Experience in evaluating and treating Dysphagia, including instrumental and bedside swallowing assessments and evidence-based management.
  • Advanced skills in speech, voice, and fluency rehabilitation for conditions related to stroke, Parkinson’s disease, and other movement or neuromuscular disorders.
  • Recognized degree in Speech Language Pathology (BASLP, MASLP, M.Sc. SLP, or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
  • Relevant professional licensure/registration as required by local regulations, or eligibility and willingness to obtain it promptly.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary neurorehabilitation team and communicate clearly with clients, caregivers, and colleagues.
  • Comfort with documentation, use of clinical assessment tools, and openness to technology-assisted rehabilitation methods.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice, ongoing professional development, and ethical, inclusive, person-centered care.
  • Prior experience in neurorehabilitation or a strong interest in working with neurological conditions is highly desirable.
