Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in the building materials industry, preferably in specification sales or project sales.
• Strong relationships with architects, consultants, builders, developers, and contractors.
• Experience in technical presentations, project mapping, and tender specifications.
• Knowledge of building materials, construction methods, and relevant standards.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel for project visits and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage product specifications across projects from design through execution.

The Specifications Manager will be responsible for developing and managing product specifications for building materials across architects, consultants, builders, developers, contractors, and project management consultants (PMCs). The role focuses on promoting the company's products by ensuring they are included in architectural designs, technical specifications, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), and project tender documents.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Specification Development: Drive product specifications for building materials across residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.
• Architect & Consultant Management: Build strong relationships with architects, interior designers, structural consultants, faade consultants, and project consultants.
• Project Tracking: Identify upcoming projects and track them from the design and specification stage through execution.
• Product Promotion: Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and CPD-style knowledge sessions for architects and consultants.
• Technical Support: Provide product data sheets, technical drawings, installation guidelines, test certificates, and compliance documents.
• BOQ & Tender Management: Ensure company products are incorporated into project BOQs, tender documents, and technical specifications.
• Cross-functional Coordination: Coordinate with sales, marketing, technical, production, and project teams to support specification conversion into actual sales.
• Competitor Analysis: Monitor competing building material products, market trends, pricing, technical features, and specification strategies.
• Relationship Management: Develop a strong network of architects, builders, developers, contractors, and consultants.
• Sales Conversion: Convert specified projects into commercial orders by coordinating with regional sales teams and channel partners.
• Reporting: Maintain project pipelines, specification reports, conversion ratios, and monthly performance dashboards.

3. Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 615 years of experience in the building materials industry, preferably in specification sales, project sales, or technical marketing.
• Strong relationships with architects, consultants, builders, developers, and contractors.
• Experience in technical presentations, project mapping, BOQ analysis, and tender specifications.
• Knowledge of building materials, construction methods, product applications, and relevant technical standards.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel for project visits and architect/consultant meetings.
