Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Group seeks a Spares and Warranty Manager to oversee the central spare parts store and warranty reimbursements across multiple cities. You will manage ordering, stock levels, and invoicing to ASPs/franchisees to ensure timely service support.

You will coordinate with factories to procure parts, monitor claims, and drive improvements in service processes, while maintaining excellent customer focus and cross-functional collaboration in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate Engineers or Diploma/ITI in Electronics, Electrical, or Mechanical.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in consumer durables or home appliances.
• Location flexibility across Delhi NCR, Mumbai, or Bengaluru.

Responsibilities

• Take complete owner ship of spare parts logistics and invoicing to ASP/Franchisee.
• Regularly monitor spares for maintaining MSL at franchisee/ASP levels for fast moving items.
• Check monthly claims of the ASP/Franchisee.
• Provide insights to the Service head to improve service processes.
• Order spare parts to factories and procure parts in time for smooth operations.
• Send defective claims to factory to claim reimbursements under warranty.
• Ensure minimum stock levels are available at all times.
• Coordinate with service managers for changes in service volumes and MSL adjustments.
• Monitor epidemic failures and feed back to factory for quality improvements.
• Ensure timely availability of spare parts in warehouses at locations.
• Maintain optimum inventory and manage distribution and reverse logistics of spare parts.
• Ensure timely warranty payments to ASP/Franchisee.

Position: Spares and Warranty Manager

Reporting To: National Manager (Service)

Location: Delhi NCR/Mumbai/Bengaluru

Position Summary:

The Position is required to manage the service spare parts store, ordering the required spare parts to factory and maintaining the minimum stock levels for 3-6 months at the central spare part store for smooth service operations. Sending defectives spares back to factory on demand and recovering the reimbursement against warranty defective spares/units as applicable. Also checking and maintain records of warranty & expense claims made by ASP/Franchisee against the services done by them for ASSA ABLOY.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Take complete owner ship or spare parts logistics and invoicing to ASP/Franchisee.
• Regularly monitor provide spares for maintaining the spare pending jobs and MSL at franchisee/ASP levels for fast moving spares.
• Checking the monthly claims of the ASP/Franchisee
• Continually provide market and customer insights to the Service head to ensure the improvement of service processes.
• To order the spare parts to various factories and procure parts in time for smooth service operations without spare parts delays.
• Send claims of defective units and spare parts to factory to claim for reimbursements against warranty units/parts.
• Ensure that the minimum stock levels are available at any given point of time.
• Co ordinate with service managers/co ordinators for change in service volumes to adequately adjust MSL
• Keep a tight watch on the epidemic failure and provide the same feedback to factory for quality analysis and improvements.
• Coordinate and ensure timely availability of spare parts in warehouses/ stores at respective locations
• Proactively monitor and maintain optimum inventory level and manage distribution and reverse logistics of the spare parts
• Ensure timely warranty payments to ASP/Franchisee

Skills Required:

• Ability to maintain spare part store in easy and understandable manner.
• Strong customer focus and empathy to not only troubleshoot when needed but to ensure proactive mechanisms to deliver on customer delight
• Ability to drive a team with clear goals, instructions, communication and feedback.
• Ability to identify problems correctly using root cause analysis with business tools like Fishbone, decision trees, etc.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to own customer problems as ONE ASSA ABLOY
• Ability to work under pressure and respond to ambiguous situations with limited information in a calm and patient manner
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Powerpoint
• Good communication both verbal and written
• Ability to prioritize tasks based on customer and business requirement

Educational Qualification and Experience:

• Graduate Engineers or Diploma/ITI qualified candidates in Electronics/ Electrical/Mechanical stream
• Relevant experience of 5 – 8 years with same industry/ consumer durables/ home appliances
