K L University is seeking a skilled South Indian Chef for the university hostel kitchen. You will prepare traditional South Indian dishes, manage bulk cooking for students and staff, and ensure high standards of taste, quality, and portion control.

Responsibilities include maintaining hygiene, following menus and recipes, coordinating with the kitchen team, and ensuring timely meal service across breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. Weekend shifts may be required.

• Prepare authentic South Indian dishes such as Idli, Dosa, Vada, Upma, Pongal, Sambar, Rasam, Chutneys, Rice varieties, Curries, and other regional delicacies.
• Prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks as per the daily menu.
• Handle bulk cooking for students, faculty, staff, and other university guests.
• Maintain consistency in taste, quality, portion size, and presentation.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and preservation of raw materials and cooked food.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, cooking equipment, utensils, and work areas.
• Follow food safety standards and kitchen hygiene practices.
