Job summary

Cygni Energy in Hyderabad (Maheshwaram) is hiring a Sourcing Sr. Executive – SCM to lead strategic sourcing for lithium-ion cells, packs, BMS and raw materials. You will manage domestic and international suppliers and drive cost-saving initiatives while ensuring quality and compliance.

The role requires 4–5 years in strategic sourcing, strong leadership, data-driven decision making and excellent English. Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics engineering; energy storage or EV experience

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, negotiations, costing, procurement & vendor management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; fluent in English.
• Strong leadership and ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Knowledge of sourcing policies, contracts & agreements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute global or regional sourcing strategies for Li-ion cells, packs, BMS, and raw materials.
• Identify and onboard Tier-1 domestic and international suppliers.
• Negotiate terms, pricing, lead times, and long-term supply agreements to reduce costs.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, quality and legal teams to align specs with safety requirements.
• Mitigate supply risks, monitor market trends, and ensure compliance with import/export laws.

Responsible for market development, and operational sales work with assigned Key Accounts. Leads sales and product management efforts to assigned Automotive Key Accounts. Leads the selling process for all battery products. Acts as primary point of contact for assigned Key Accounts. Leverages relationship between customer, market and Cygni management. Analyses feasibility of technical specs in RFQ’s.

What You Will Do:

• Develop and execute global or regional sourcing strategies for lithium-ion battery cells, packs, Battery Management Systems (BMS), and raw materials.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard Tier-1 domestic and international cell and component suppliers
• Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, lead times, and long-term supply agreements to lower costs.
• Partner with engineering, product, quality, and legal teams to align component specifications with technical and safety requirements.
• Mitigate supply chain risks, monitor market volatility, and ensure compliance with import/export regulations (such as EXIM, customs, and environmental safety laws)
• Maintain detailed records of quality audits and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address root causes of any issues during Development
• Ensure compliances of SCM policies and procedure.

4-5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, Negotiations, Costing ,Procurement & Vendor Management

Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders.

Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.

Collaborative and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics Engineering, (Preferred Industry: Energy Storage System /Electronics Manufacturing / Electric Vehicles/Automotive)

Should have Excellent communication ,Fluency in English & interpersonal skills
