Job summary

Antal International, Gurugram-based recruitment partner, seeks Lead – Sourcing (Specialty Fertilizers) to drive strategic procurement, supply planning, and vendor development for imported and domestic products, including packing materials.

You will coordinate with Sales, Manufacturing, Logistics and Finance to ensure timely availability while optimizing cost and quality, manage geopolitical sourcing risks (export restrictions from China) and ensure compliance with import licensing.

Qualifications

• MBA in Supply Chain or Operations preferred with a Bachelor’s degree in agriculture or chemical engineering.
• 10–15 years of sourcing/procurement experience in FMCG, Specialty Fertilizers, Agrochemicals, or Crop Protection.
• Experience in import procurement, production planning, vendor management, and supply chain operations.
• Strong knowledge of SAP/ERP, import-export regulations, and licensing.

Responsibilities

• Source Specialty Fertilizers, Imported & Domestic, and Packing Materials.
• Develop and manage relationships with domestic and international suppliers.
• Plan procurement, production, and inventory based on sales forecasts.
• Coordinate with Sales, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Finance for seamless supply planning.
• Ensure timely availability and dispatch of packed goods.
• Manage import procurement, licensing, statutory compliances, and regulatory approvals.
• Handle geopolitical supply risks and identify alternate sourcing opportunities.
• Drive cost optimization, vendor performance, and working capital efficiency.

About the Role:

The Lead – Sourcing will be responsible for strategic sourcing and supply planning of Specialty Fertilizers, Imported and domestic, and Packing Materials. The role involves procurement, production planning, inventory management, vendor development, and close coordination with Sales, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Finance to ensure timely product availability while optimizing cost and quality.

The incumbent should be capable of managing geopolitical sourcing challenges, including export restrictions from China, and possess a good understanding of import licensing and regulatory requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• MBA in Supply Chain or Operations preferably with Bachelor’s degree in agriculture or chemical engineering.
• 10–15 years of sourcing/procurement experience in FMCG, Speciality Fertilizers, Agrochemicals, or Crop Protection. Exceptional candidates from Tier 1 / 2 Institutes with 6 + years experience will be considered
• Experience in import procurement, production planning, vendor management, and supply chain operations.
• Strong knowledge of SAP/ERP, import-export regulations, and licensing.
