Job summary

Siemens is seeking a skilled BMS/PLC Programmer to develop and maintain controller software for Building Automation Systems in global data center projects. You will configure alarms, trends, schedules, and interfaces using Siemens platforms to meet engineering standards and customer requirements.

The role requires 3–6 years of hands-on experience in electrical/mechanical engineering disciplines, with knowledge of PX Controllers, Desigo CC, BACnet/IP, and Modbus TCP/IP.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of relevant experience.
• Education in electrical, mechanical, or mechatronics engineering.
• Experience with data center Building Automation projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop controller applications for BMS/PLC in HVAC and data center projects.
• Configure alarms, trends, schedules, and interfaces on Siemens platforms.
• Test, verify, and support FAT/SAT and commissioning activities.
• Troubleshoot software issues and maintain documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering, commissioning, and project teams.

You’ll make a difference by:

The BMS/PLC Programmer is responsible for developing, configuring, testing, and maintaining controller software for Building Automation Systems supporting global data center projects while ensuring compliance with engineering standards and customer requirements.

• Develop controller applications for HVAC systems including chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, pumps, cooling towers, air handling units, and environmental monitoring systems.
• Configure alarms, trends, schedules, controller databases, equipment interfaces, and communication parameters using Siemens Building Automation platforms.
• Perform software testing, simulation, functional verification, and support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and remote commissioning activities.
• Troubleshoot software issues, implement engineering revisions, maintain software documentation, and support technical issue resolution during project execution.
• Collaborate with engineering, graphics, commissioning, and project management teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Your success is grounded in:

• 3–6 Years of relevant experience
• Education: Bachelor’s / master’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Control & Instrumentation Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline.

Preferred

• Experience with data center Building Automation projects and mission-critical infrastructure.

Technical Skills

• Siemens PX Controllers, Desigo CC, BACnet/IP, Modbus TCP/IP, HVAC Control Logic, Functional Testing, Network Communication, Microsoft Office.
