Job summary

Siemens India seeks an experienced Substation Automation Specialist to join the power grid team in Goa. You will work on SAS and SICAM RTU, provide on-site support, and resolve complex technical issues for customers.

Role requires 3–4 years of hands-on SAS/SCADA experience, strong knowledge of IEC 61131-3 programming, IED integration, and willingness to travel to customer sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or related discipline.
• 3–4 years hands-on field experience in SAS and Siemens SICAM RTU.
• Strong understanding of SAS, SCADA architectures, power system automation concepts, and IED integration.

Responsibilities

• Support Customers with technical clarification and root-cause analysis.
• Provide product training and application support at site.
• Deploy detailed knowledge to improve business operations or drive innovations.

Roles and Responsibility

• Support Customer for Technical clarification and Root cause Analysis
• Product Training and application support at Site
• Deploys detailed knowledge and expertise about the products and application domain to improve either business operations (e.g. support for critical/important project issues) and/or strategic innovations (e.g. Service offering / portfolio innovation).
• Supports acquisition activities with detailed technical knowhow on complex issues.
• Adheres to and enforces the organization's internal processes and rules as well as public standards and regulations.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 to 4 years of hands-on field experience in Substation Automation Systems (SAS) and Siemens SICAM RTU
• Strong understanding of:
  • Substation Automation Systems (SAS)
  • SCADA applications and architectures
  • Power system automation concepts
  • Integration of Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs)
• Hands-on experience with Siemens SICAM RTU platforms and engineering tools:
  • SICAM Device Manager (SDM)
  • Toolbox II
• Experience in automation logic development using:
  • CAEx Plus
  • CFC (Continuous Function Chart)
  • IEC 61131-3 compliant programming
• Strong knowledge and practical experience with communication protocols and networking technologies, including: IEC 60870-5-101, IEC 60870-5-104, TCP/IP
  • Serial Communication Protocols, PRP (Parallel Redundancy Protocol)
  • RSTP (Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol), SNTP, NTP
• Siemens SCADA configuration software WINCC, PAS, SDM, SCC will be added advantages
• Other Requirements:
  • Fluent Communication skills.
  • Ready to relocate at Goa, India.
  • Ready to travel at customer sites whenever requires.
