Job summary

Capgemini is seeking an experienced Solution Architect for Solumina (Aerospace Manufacturing) in India. This role focuses on architecture, implementation and transformation of MES/MOM platforms for aerospace clients, with strong emphasis on manufacturing IT, quality, traceability and cross-system integration.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years in MES/MOM or Digital Manufacturing, hands-on iBase-t Solumina experience, and familiarity with SAP ERP/DMC.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in MES/MOM, Manufacturing IT or Digital Manufacturing.
• Hands-on with iBase-t Solumina; exposure to SAP DMC is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes and traceability.
• Experience integrating MES with SAP ERP/PLM and automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead solution architecture and Solumina implementation for aerospace programs.
• Gather requirements and design scalable MES/MOM solutions for manufacturing ops.
• Configure Production Execution, WIs, Quality, Traceability and Non-Conformance.
• Integrate MES with SAP ERP, PLM, Quality, SCM and shop-floor automation.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct design workshops, testing, deployment and go-live support.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality and IT to boost performance.
• Provide technical leadership, architecture governance and mentoring.

Role Overview

This role focuses on solution architecture, implementation, and transformation of MES/MOM platforms for Aerospace & Defense clients. The position requires strong expertise in manufacturing execution, quality management, traceability, and integration across enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead solution architecture and implementation of Solumina for aerospace manufacturing programs.
• Gather business requirements and design scalable MES/MOM solutions aligned with manufacturing operations.
• Configure and implement Production Execution, Electronic Work Instructions, Quality Management, Traceability, Genealogy, and Non-Conformance Management capabilities.
• Integrate MES solutions with SAP ERP, PLM, Quality, Supply Chain, and shop-floor automation systems.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace manufacturing standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct solution design workshops, testing, deployment, and go-live support activities.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and IT teams to improve operational performance.
• Provide technical leadership, architecture governance, and mentoring to project teams.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 8–10 years of experience in MES/MOM, Manufacturing IT, or Digital Manufacturing environments.
• Hands-on experience with iBase-t Solumina; exposure to SAP Digital Manufacturing Cloud (DMC) is an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes including Assembly, MRO, Quality, and Shop Floor Execution.
• Experience integrating MES platforms with SAP ERP, PLM, and automation systems.
• Knowledge of ISA-95, Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM), and Industry 4.0 frameworks.
• Strong understanding of product traceability, genealogy, electronic work instructions, and quality compliance.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and consulting skills.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
