Job summary

ONIS SOLAR SOLUTIONS OPC PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking a solar consultant to guide home and business owners through adopting solar energy, assess energy needs, and design custom photovoltaic systems.

You will explain financing options, incentives, and coordinate with installation teams to ensure smooth project execution.

The role requires strong communication and technical knowledge of PV systems, with familiarity of tools like Helioscope or PVsyst.

Qualifications

• Education or experience in electrical, mechanical, or energy engineering, or equivalent sales/industry background.
• Strong understanding of PV solar systems and battery storage add-ons.
• Ability to explain complex technical and financial data in simple terms.
• Familiarity with solar design tools like Helioscope or PVsyst is a plus.

Role & responsibilities

A solar consultant guides home and business owners through adopting solar energy. They assess energy needs, design custom photovoltaic systems, evaluate site suitability, and explain financing options and government incentives to help clients transition to renewable power.

Key Responsibilities

• Client Consultations: Meet with clients to review past power bills and understand energy goals.
• Site Assessments: Inspect roofs or land for shade, structural health, and sunlight exposure.
• System Design & Quotes: Build custom solar layouts and compute projected financial savings.
• Financing & Incentives: Explain loan programs, tax credits, and local utility rebates.
• Project Coordination: Work alongside installation crews and utility providers to ensure smooth setup

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: Degree or diploma in electrical, mechanical, or energy engineering (or equivalent sales/industry experience).
• Technical Knowledge: Strong grasp of photovoltaic (PV) solar systems and battery storage add-ons.
• Communication: Ability to explain complex technical and financial data in simple terms.
• Software Skills: Familiarity with solar design tools like Helioscope or PVsyst is a plus
