Job summary

SafEarth Renewables Pvt Ltd is seeking a Solar PV Designer to support the design and engineering of C&I rooftop solar PV projects, site surveys and technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle. You will design rooftop layouts with AutoCAD and SketchUp, perform PVsyst energy yield analyses, conduct site surveys, and help prepare reports, BOMs and deliverables while coordinating with senior engineers.

BE/BTech in related field; 2 years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or related field.
• 2 years of experience in solar PV design; freshers with related knowledge welcome.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp and PVsyst advisable.
• Basic understanding of solar PV systems, electrical components and rooftop design.
• Willingness to travel to project sites for site surveys and assessments.

Responsibilities

• Design rooftop solar PV layouts using AutoCAD and SketchUp.
• Perform solar generation and energy yield analysis using PVsyst.
• Conduct site surveys including roof assessment, shading analysis and site constraints.
• Prepare and update Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), Bills of Materials (BOMs), layouts and technical documentation.

• Maintain project design records and revisions based on feedback.

Job description

SafEarth Renewables Pvt Ltd delivers Owners Engineer, project management and EPC oversight services across utility-scale solar, wind-solar hybrid and battery energy storage projects, alongside a growing C&I rooftop portfolio. We work on the owners side of the table protecting schedule, quality and returns from land to commissioning.

The Solar PV Designer supports the design and engineering of C&I rooftop solar PV projects system layouts, generation analysis, site surveys and technical documentation. You will work closely with senior engineers and project teams, with exposure to the complete solar project lifecycle

Roles and responsibilities

Design rooftop solar PV layouts using AutoCAD and SketchUp.

Perform solar generation and energy yield analysis using PVsyst.

Conduct site surveys, including roof assessment, shading analysis, and identification of site constraints and obstructions.

Prepare and update Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), Bills of Materials (BOMs), layouts and technical documentation.

Support the preparation and review of client and vendor technical deliverables.

Maintain project design records and incorporate revisions based on technical and client feedback.

Support technical activities during project execution and commissioning, as required.

Preferred candidate profile

B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or any other related field.

02 years of experience in solar PV design or a related engineering field; freshers with relevant knowledge are welcome.

Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp and PVsyst is desirable.

Basic understanding of solar PV systems, electrical components and rooftop system design.
