Job summary

Artha Energy Resources in India seeks a Senior Solar Design Engineer to lead end-to-end rooftop PV design, from feasibility to detailed engineering, mentor junior engineers, and ensure compliance with IS/IEC/MNRE standards.

You will design and review layouts using AutoCAD and PVsyst, perform voltage drop, cable sizing, earthings, and BOMs, and coordinate with vendors, EPC teams and clients on multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering.
• 2–6 years of experience in solar design engineering.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and PVsyst.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in solar PV system design for rooftop projects (commercial, industrial).
• Hands-on with AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Solarlab for design work.
• Knowledge of PV Syst for energy generation simulation and performance analysis.
• Expertise in AC and DC cable sizing, voltage drop calculations, and cable scheduling.
• Strong understanding of earthing design, lightning protection, and module mounting structures.
• Experience in shadow analysis, load calculations, and panel layout optimization.
• Familiarity with IS, IEC, MNRE, DISCOM norms and ability to read drawings.
• Experience in site surveys and preparing BOQs, SLDs, and technical documentation.
• Coordination with vendors, EPC teams, and clients during design and execution phases.
• Ability to manage multiple rooftop projects simultaneously.

About The Role

• Willingness to travel for site assessments as needed.
