Job summary

Recare Electrical in Surat is seeking a Solar PV Design Engineer Ground Mount to design ground-mounted and rooftop PV plants, create layouts in AutoCAD, perform shadow analysis, and prepare BOMs for utility-scale projects.

You will lead the electrical design, ensure QC, coordinate with engineering and sales, generate permit packages, and produce production models using PVSyst and Helioscope, while complying with NEC and local codes.

Qualifications

• Design Ground mounted/Rooftop solar PV power plants in AutoCAD.
• Designing solar PV system layouts, string sizing, and wiring layouts in AutoCAD.
• Shadow analysis reports using AutoCAD/SketchUp.
• Prepare BOMs for PV power plants.
• Electrical layouts and QC compliance.
• Lead project calculations and overall electrical design for solar PV systems.
• Create drawings for carports, rooftop and ground arrays.
• Produce production models with PVSyst, Helioscope and Solar Anywhere.
• Coordinate with design, engineering and sales teams.
• Ensure compliance with local codes and NEC standards.

Qualification: Diploma / BE in Civil Engineering/Structural Engineering/ Electrical Engineering /Mechanical Engineering

Experience: 2 to 6 years

Salary: no bar for deserving candidate

Location: Surat

Job Time: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM (With lunch break) Monday to Saturday

Job description:

• Design Ground mounted/Rooftop solar PV power plants in AutoCAD

• Designing solar PV system with panel array layouts, string sizing, Single line diagrams, voltage drop calculation and electrical wiring layouts using AutoCAD.

• Preparation of shadow analysis reports using AutoCAD/SketchUp

• Prepared detailed BOM (Bill of Materials) for PV power plants

• Preparation of electrical layouts and ensure QC

• Serving as project engineer for commercial and utility scale solar projects.

• Designing preliminary layouts and final permit packages based on the potential clients needs and building property specifications.

• Leading project calculations, component sizing and overall electrical design for solar PV systems.

• Creating drawings of proposed systems, including solar carports, roof-top solar arrays, and ground-mounted solar arrays.

• Creating production models using PVSyst, Helioscope and Solar Anywhere.

• Using AutoCAD and SketchUp to complete design to local AHJ requirements.

• Comply with building codes, engineering practices, safety codes, regulatory codes, and NEC standards.

• Coordinating with other members of the engineering and sales team throughout the project lifecycle to ensure that designs are feasible and compatible with the property.

• Attending customer meetings throughout sales and construction cycles.

• Assist with system monitoring and performance analysis.

• Basic knowledge of pile lay out, Civil Foundation drawing, Pile Co-ordinate
• Basic knowledge of soil test evolution

Knowledge requirements:

1. Proficient in all facets of latest AutoCAD and Sketch-up software.
2. Experience with PVSyst, Helioscope, and Energy Tool Base
3. Hands on knowledge of solar system
4. Hands on knowledge working with DISCOMs, CEIG and GEDA requirements.
5. Hands on knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
