Job summary

Soltrac Power in Lucknow is seeking a Procurement Executive with 1–2 years of experience to support solar projects by managing day-to-day purchasing and coordinating with vendors.

You will source materials, issue purchase orders, track deliveries, and maintain supplier records while collaborating with project, warehouse, and accounts teams to ensure material availability.

Qualifications

• Graduate in any discipline. B.Com/BBA/Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, vendor coordination, or related operations.
• Good knowledge of procurement and purchasing processes.
• Basic knowledge of solar and electrical materials will be an advantage.
• MS Excel and Google Sheets proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day purchasing activities and purchase orders.
• Coordinate with vendors for quotations, orders, and delivery.
• Maintain vendor database and procurement trackers.

Role Overview

The Procurement Executive will be responsible for handling day-to-day purchasing activities, vendor coordination, purchase orders, material follow-ups, and ensuring timely availability of materials required for solar projects.

Procurement & Purchasing

• Collect material requirements from project and technical teams.
• Source materials from approved and reliable vendors.
• Obtain and compare vendor quotations and negotiate pricing.
• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) after necessary approvals.
• Ensure procurement is completed as per required specifications, quantity, quality, and timelines.
• Coordinate with vendors for quotations, order confirmation, dispatch, and delivery.
• Regularly follow up on pending purchase orders.
• Resolve issues related to delayed deliveries, shortages, or incorrect materials.
• Maintain an updated vendor database.

Material & Project Coordination

• Coordinate with the Warehouse, Project, Technical, and Accounts teams regarding material requirements.
• Track material orders and ensure timely delivery to the warehouse or project sites.
• Monitor pending requirements and highlight potential material shortages in advance.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain purchase orders, quotations, invoices, delivery records, and vendor documents.
• Maintain procurement trackers and purchase records.
• Prepare regular procurement and pending-order reports.
• Maintain records of purchase rates for future reference and comparison.
